The Upper East Region in Ghana (U.E.R)

Ghana is an English speaking country in West Africa that prides itself on its democracy. With its western borders on the Ivory Coast, bordering with Burkina Faso in the North, Togo to the east and south by the sea, the Gulf of Guinea.

Ghana is 6.5 times larger than the Netherlands with a population of approximately 20,000,000 people.

There is a big difference in climate between North and South. The South is a tropical climate, where many different minerals are mined. The North is characterized by a savannah climate. The population lives on agriculture products. Due to the climate, they are reliant on one crop per season.

Upper East Region (U.E.R)
This provinceis situated in the far North, and it is the poorest province of Ghana. The climatic conditions, savannah, make it difficult for the farmers to provide for their families. The land is not very fertile due to depletion and erosion. There is no other industry whatsoever in this province.
